Greetings !
It is a proud privilege for me to be the Dean of MAPIMS after having served 29 years in the Tamilnadu Medical Services as a Faculty of Pharmacology for 22 years and seven years as an administrator as Dy.DME and then as Dean.
After my retirement as Dean of 175 years old Madras Medical College on 31-12-2010, even though many offers came from several Medical institutions , I waited and preferred to join at MAPIMS for the following reasons.
1. My admirations for “Adigalar Amma” as an “Aanmeega Guru” who has inspired lakhs and lakhs of people all over the world by His innovative rational concepts.
2. My connection with AdhiParasakthi Siddhar Peetam as devotee runs back more than 15 years. Once I came from Chennai to Melmaruvathur by foot (Padayatra) carrying Irumudi. I have performed voluntary services in the Siddhar Peetam hospital even 20 years ago during Sundays.
3. This Medical College Hospital itself is unique with thousands of outpatients visiting everyday who are given free treatment simulating the Chengalpattu, Stanley and General Hospital Chennai where I worked as Dean previously.
4. The management, ACME Trust is willingly doing everything necessary to render quality Medical Services to the poor and down trodden people of this part of the country .
5. The Trustees have the noble vision of moulding the students who join here not only as professionalist in their field but also as perfectionist by inculcating to them to be spiritual, selfless and sportive which are all the basic requirements for any human being .
6. The MAPIMS is the most preferred college by Parents and Students when they narrowly miss admission in Govt. Medical Colleges.
7. The thousand bedded State of the Art Multi speciality Hospital which will start functioning with in a few months will revolutionize the Health care in the surroundings of Melmaruvathur.
With the all above in mind and with the Divine Blessings of “Adigalar Amma” I am confident that this Institution will be inferior to none in patient care and Teaching and I invite the Faculty, Students, Paramedical and other staff of MAPIMS to join hands together to make this Institution as the best of its category
